We had a great evening at the Hereford Cattle Society UK Annual Dinner & Awards at Shrewsbury.
We won two awards -
HORNED FEMALE OF THE YEAR
NATIONAL SHOW HERD OF THE YEAR
Moralee Curly CI288 was named as Horned Female of the Year. Daughter of Auckvale Curly 1831S a horned female we bought from Auckvale Herefords in Designer Genes Sale in 2020 and sired by Parkhill Pompei. This little heifer who is a year old next week, has had some year at shows for being such a young age and well young in the class. We can’t wait to see what this cheeky and flashy heifer does next!
We previously won Show Herd of the Year in 2019 and we are really chuffed to win this award again. It shows the strength and depth of breeding we have in our herd,to bring out different cattle that consistently perform well in the show ring. This doesn’t come without hard work and cost but the benefits of the show ring being a shop window, the value it potentially adds and the memories we make with show family and friends make it so worthwhile.
