This week I had the privilege of judging Hereford cattle at the Royal Norfolk Show, my most significant judging appointment yet and it was certainly a day to remember! My 2026 has been hampered by illness and injury, playing havoc with my body and mind, and preventing me from doing so much of the farm work I love. Today we attended an awards ceremony in the historic Ingliston House where we were delighted to be presented with the John Miller Perpetual Award for Best Stockman. A trophy that only is awarded to the Beef Section once every four years, and has been judged by show officials throughout the week.
