NORTHERN IRELAND NATIONAL CALF SHOW

Our very own Di Harrison had the huge honour of judging the Northern Ireland Hereford Breeders National Calf Show at Dungannon last weekend.

What a day it was, with 55 calves entered and quality to a high standard. The first class of the day filled the ring with 11 pairs which set the scene for the difficult task ahead for Di.

Congratulations to all competitors - there are some seriously good polled and horned Herefords in Northern Ireland, and there are some great show prospects for next year.

At the end of the day if was the Dorepoll herd that took the Female Championship and the Benburb herd that took the Male Championship with two outstanding calves.

Thank you to the NIHBA Committee for the invitation - it was a day we both thoroughly enjoyed and a day that you should all be proud of.
