The show season came to a triumphant finale for our horned bull Bawnlea Fighter Fury today - winning Senior Male Champion, Male Champion and Reserve Supreme Champion at the National Horned Show.

The just under 2 years old was looking awesome - and his power and correctness caught the eye of Judge John Kemp.

We bought Fury from Peter & Alannah Cooke, Bawnlea Herefords in Ireland last autumn, and we were delighted that Peter and the family were in attendance today.

Fury was bought primarily as stock bull to be used on our Curly line of horned females - we can’t want to see his first calves this autumn.

Thank you must go to Keadyview for looking after Fury since May, and for all of the hard work over the summer on him. We have certainly achieved what we set out to do - credit to you all Steven, Helen, Barney and Cerys

Our other entry was Moralee 1 Convoy GR385.

The October 2024 born young bull at his first show was placed 2nd in his class. An embryo calf with dam Auckvale Curly 1831S (our DGS 2020 purchase) and sire Haven Granville.

The young bull has a lot of promise with some interesting old breeding behind him.

Its a long way home but it’s always a good journey after a great day!

Thank you to the National Hereford Club for hosting and making us welcome.

Thank you Cerys Mai Jenkins for your help and for your part in Fury’s success. Thanks all at home on the ranch and to everyone that has helped with Fury’s journey this summer!

And now for a few weeks rest…maybe
