What a day we had at Hexham Mart yesterday. Hereford steers to a top price of £2,340 and cross bred heifers to £2,350.

With all but one of the batch of eleven going over the £2K mark we had a very pleasing average of £2,136.

It was a refreshing change to see the hype and interest in Herefords in the store ring - something that has made us question the viability of breeding and trying to sell Hereford bulls. Why breed and rear them when 14 month grass fed Hereford steers can be sold with no hassle for over £2K

NEVERTHELESS…we continue to do what we do…Hereford bulls and females for sale from farm!
